Places of refuge for citizens in the event of an earthquake
Description
As places of refuge (or gathering or assembling) are considered open free spaces within the city that aim at the safe release of the population, manifested as a first reaction to a seismic event. The places of refuge can also be used as places of immediate accommodation (e.g. tents, caravans or ships), with a stay of hours to a few days (approximately two), i.e. until the return of the affected to their homes or their relocation to temporary accommodation (e.g. in organized campsites with transportable huts) and if they meet the required specifications. The places of refuge, as notified to us so far by the Municipalities of the Region of Attica, are listed for all Regional Units in the following files.
