Description
The survey utilized 3 Saildrones (SD), two equipped with ADCP (300 kHz) and one with a WBAT mini 38/200 kHz to collect atmospheric and hydrographic data at sea surface, current data in the upper 100 m, and biological backscatter in the upper 1000 m. The study objectives was to collect data along a meridional transect at ~155 W from 18 N to 0 and to target the front between the equatorial cold tongue and the warm pool at the equatorial upwelling retions to study air-sea interactions and backscatter response to environmental conditions.
