Bedbugs (Hepteroptera) from the Kalktal valley in the Gesäuse National Park
Description
The Austrian National Park Gesäuse is located in the Northern Limestone Alps and extends with an area of 11,054 hectares over an altitude of 4 902.369 m. It dominates different montane to subalpine forest types, alpine pastures and alpine lawns. By the work of several entomologists in the 19th and 20th centuries and the research work since the site was protected in 2002, a total of 270 types of bedbugs from 169 sites have been detected.
