Description
The impact areas of individual bathing waters are areas where the performance of human activities can affect the quality of bathing water and may constitute a source of risk to bathers’ health.
The data set shows the impact areas of bathing waters according to the Decree on the management of bathing water quality (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 25/08). Impact areas are determined on the basis of the criteria set out in the Decree on the discharge and treatment of urban waste water (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos 98/15 and Rev.) and the previous Decree on the emission of substances in the discharge of waste water from urban waste water treatment plants (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos 45/07 and Rev.) and the Decree on the emission of substances in the discharge of waste water from small urban waste water treatment plants (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos 98/07 and Rev.). Special requirements for the discharge and treatment of urban waste water are laid down for the impact areas of bathing water in accordance with the above regulations.
The data is intended for the state and local communities as a basis for the implementation of measures in the field of bathing water management or for the implementation of other water management tasks, for the implementation of environmental protection measures relating to the discharge and treatment of urban waste water or the issuing of environmental permits. The data is also intended for the public, as information on where the influential bathing areas are located.
