From disposable to reusable.
Description
A quick coffee in the disposable cup or lunch in the snack box – never before have so many ‘to-go’ and ‘take-away’ packages been used for single use. Reusable alternatives help to produce less waste, conserve resources and strengthen the circular economy. Municipalities have an exemplary effect and can make a decisive contribution to waste prevention through incentives. On behalf of the Ministry of Climate Protection, the Federal Environment Agency has developed a practice-oriented reduction concept that helps municipalities to avoid single-use packaging and reduce waste. It provides background information on various application areas such as events or procurement. In addition, alternatives to disposable products, diverse implementation tips and numerous best practice examples are described.
