Traffic Information Location Database
Description
The VILD (Traffic Information Location Database) is used to guarantee unambiguous and uniform location information in the traffic information chains in the Netherlands. The VILD is used by Rijkswaterstaat and all road authorities affiliated with NDW to include location information in the published traffic and travel information. Customers of traffic and travel information use the VILD to translate the location information into the display that is relevant to them.
