Description
The growing need for information that requires the current evaluation and management of exploited species, especially in the case of hake, but also in others such as roosters, anglerfish or Norway lobster, make it necessary to obtain independent information from fisheries on the situation of these populations. For this purpose, the following objectives were determined:\nEstimation of stratified abundance indices by age of hake, anglerfish and roosters in divisions VIIbk.\nEstimation of stratified abundance indices of other commercial species such as Norway lobster, witch, rays or sprouts.\nEstimation of the strength of recruitments and location of aggregations of juvenile hake, anglerfish and rooster.\nDescription of spatial distribution patterns of demersal and bentonic species in the Porcupine bank.\nCollection of material for studies of contamination by heavy metals.\nCollection of material for genetic studies.\nCollection of the species 'EUROPEAN POTA' for studies of parasites.
