Description
It is intended to continue with the work undertaken in the First Campaign carried out in 2015 in relation to the knowledge of the wreck: - Extension of the wreck. - Conservation status of materials. - Dispersion of the wreckage of the Spanish vessel. - Continue with the archaeological “mapping”. - Advance in the interpretation and analysis of the wreck. - Extraction of the following elements, based on historical-cultural, museographic, conservation, archival and legal motivations: a.‐ Bronze snake from the 16th century. Approximate weight: between 1,300 and 1,800 kg. b.- A ‘stony cannon’ or ‘obús de a tres’, of bronze. Couple of the extracted in 2015. c.‐ Elements of spoiled silverware (silver of chafalonia) contained in the AGI documentation. d.- Some elements that were filmed in 2015 and whose function we do not know will also be extracted. e.- Depending on the circumstances of the Campaign, it is possible that the second culebrine will be extracted from the Mercedes.
