Description
A centre for territorial and rural balance (PETR) is a public establishment which brings together several public institutions of inter-communal cooperation with own taxation in an unlocked territorial area in the form of a mixed trade union. It enables cooperation between rural areas and small and medium-sized towns.
The country designates a territory with “geographical, economic, cultural or social cohesion at the level of a basin of life or employment” in order to express “the community of economic, cultural and social interests of its members” and to enable the study and implementation of development projects.
Countries can be represented and managed in different legal forms: mixed country union, association, public interest group...
