Departmental Schema of Natural Spaces - 2019
Description
The Territory of Belfort has about 300 hectares of sensitive natural areas (ENS). Spread over ten sites, flowering or limestone lawns, moors, ponds or quarries are home to rare or threatened species at national or European level. The protection and development of these spaces are ensured by the Department which relies on the studies carried out on fauna and flora by the CREN (Regional Conservatory of Natural Spaces) or the CBNFC (National Botanical Conservatory of Franche-Comté). State of play in 2019.
