Networks of sensitive natural areas from 1990 to 2011 - Department of the Territory of Belfort
Description
The sensitive natural areas of the departments (ENS) are a tool for the protection of natural areas by their land acquisition or by the signing of agreements with private or public owners established in French law and governed by the urban planning code. In order to preserve the quality of sites, landscapes, natural environments and natural fields of expansion of floods and to ensure the safeguarding of natural habitats according to the principles laid down in Article L. 110, the department is competent to develop and implement a policy of protection, management and opening to the public of sensitive natural spaces, wooded or not.
