Description
**Definition of IGN**: Natural or non-natural plant space, differentiated in particular according to the tree cover.
**Glossary**:
* Forest: Land with an area of more than 5 000 m2 with an absolute tree cover rate equal to or greater than
10% over a width of at least 20 metres with trees reaching or capable of reaching a height greater than
5 meters in situ. With the exception of cultivated orchards.
A consequence of this definition is that wooded areas with an area between 80 m2 and 5 000 m2
will be classified in the attribute value "Wood".
* Wooded cover: Absolute cover of a stand: Planimetric surface of the vertical projection of crowns of trees of the
settlement.
Absolute cover rate:
"quotient of the absolute cover of the stand by the surface of the site".
Relative cover rate of underpopulation:
Quotient of absolute canopy cover of undercrowding by canopy cover
absolute of settlement.
Free cover:
"covered stand with access to light".
* Lande:
Land with an area of more than 5 000 m2 with a recovery rate of natural or semi-natural vegetation (woody or non-woody) of more than 10% and a relative recovery rate of low woody (shrubs and
sub-shrubs) not less than 25 %.
The tree recovery rate shall not exceed 10 %.
The
heathland shows no evidence of regular human intervention of the agricultural type (closure presence translated as
a visible parcel).
