Description
Packers/importers of prepackages bearing the EEC ‘e’ sign with recognised internal quantitative control procedures: The EEC symbol ‘e’ represents compliance with the requirements of Directive 76/211/EEC, which provides that the actual quantity of the contents of the product shall not be less than the tolerance allowed and the average quantity of a batch of products shall not be less than the nominal value indicated on the packaging. The use of this sign is not mandatory. Those responsible for packaging must inform the Metrology Office of the Republic of Slovenia of the intention or use of this sign and complete the questionnaire and are subject to more stringent metrological control than packers who do not use this sign.
