Description
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices at constant tax rates (HICP-CT) is a variant of the HICP that measures inflation without the impact of changes in taxes on products. The index measures price changes in relation to a base year, where tax rates are kept constant at the level of the previous year’s December so as to control for the impact of changes in tax rates. The index measures the changes in relation to the tax rates from the previous year’s December, kept constant. Data are available with 2 decimals for the aggregates and 1 or 2 decimals for countries.
