The archived data cover: purchases and sales of long-term securities by foreign-residents; claims and liabilities to foreign-residents reported monthly/quarterly by banks and brokers/dealers of securities; claims and liabilities to foreign-residents reported quarterly by nonbanks; and holdings and settlements of derivatives contracts with foreign-residents reported quarterly by businesses with large holdings of derivatives contracts.
