Tree canopy cover 2024 for Copenhagen
Description
The treetop deck is an estimate of the city's treetops seen from above. The dataset is not 100% accurate and should only be used within larger areas. However, the quality of the estimate is increasing and the latest calculation from 2024 has a relatively high precision.
A tree in this model is defined as active vegetation that is over 1.5 meters. The data set will therefore contain hedges and shrubs if they are over 1.5 metres. The crown cover is estimated from a vegetation cover calculated from a satellite image and/or a summer orthophoto. The vegetation cover is compared with the Danish elevation model, to find all areas in the vegetation cover that are over 1.5 meters.
Note: Data is heavy and takes up a lot of space.
