Deadwood in Johnsbach 2003-2012 — Intermediate Mower Route
Description
Deadwood in wild streams such as the Johnsbach has a relatively high potential for danger because dead wood transported by floods can lead to cleavages in bridges and to stronger cracks in the shore area. This report discusses the actual danger potential of deadwood in Johnsbach using vivid photo ducumentations and how dead wood can be used as a structural element for engineering measures. In addition, the ecological aspect of dead wood is illuminated.
