National parks are far more than nature reserves. For
many people are sanctuaries of our homeland, soul protection areas and landscapes where Austria’s natural heritage is preserved. Areas where nature can still breathe and develop freely. With the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, millions of Austrians and billions of people worldwide were restricted in their mobility and partly forced into domestic isolation.
