Agreement drawn up in French and signed by hand on 27/11/2020 by the Director of the CNA and the Director of the ANLux._ **History of administration:** The Centre National de l’Audiovisuel (CNA) is a cultural institute established in 1989 under the authority of the Ministry of Culture. Its purpose is to preserve and enhance Luxembourg’s audiovisual heritage, but also to make the culture of sound, still and moving images accessible to all through exhibitions, publications, screenings, conferences or other events aimed at a wide audience. The NAC’s collections consist of moving images, photographs, sound recordings and archival holdings. Their conservation and enhancement aim to reflect the historical, social, cultural and economic diversity of Luxembourg's audiovisual heritage. **Principal missions:** The tasks of the CNA are defined in Article 18 of the Law of 25 June 2004 on the reorganisation of State cultural institutes: - Ensuring the safeguarding of the national audiovisual heritage, through, inter alia, legal deposit - Making audiovisual heritage and audiovisual documents of cultural and educational value accessible - Introduce the public to the knowledge and use of audiovisual means of communication and implement specific training adapted to the needs of the audiovisual profession sector - Produce or cause to be produced audiovisual works - Organising or promoting public artistic events in the audiovisual field - Gathering and making available to the public audiovisual documentation - Stimulate studies and research in the audiovisual field at national level - Advise public and municipal administrations on the procedures for collecting, circulating, processing and archiving audiovisual documents - Promoting Luxembourg audiovisual creation in general through the dissemination of works in Luxembourg and abroad - Collaborate and coordinate its activities with those of other cultural institutions. **Regulatory references:** - Law of 25 February 2022 on cultural heritage - Law of 25 June 2004 on the reorganisation of State cultural institutes - Law of 18 May 1989 establishing a National Audiovisual Centre **Versions and updates:** The following shall be published in the dataset: - The first version signed on 27/11/2020
