Survey of Gloss Mountain State Park, Oklahoma, November 7 2021
Description
This Unoccupied Aerial Vehicle (UAV) survey was flown as part of a graduate class exercise at the Boone Pickens School of Geology at Oklahoma State University. The purpose was to provide students with experience in producing a high-resolution orthomosaic, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and Point Cloud of an area. Moreover, the purpose was to provide high-resolution data of the state park, which is frequently visited in Oklahoma. The geological formation outcrops as a mesa defined by sub-horizontal strata of shale capped by a more resistant layer of gypsum.
