Survey : CIRO 2/84 (part of North Sea Groundfish Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: IBTS1E))
Description
This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the North Sea Groundfish
Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: IBTS1E);
Station, catch, length (all species) and biological data (selected species)
for each of the annual surveys covering the North Sea using research vessels
and GOV trawls in support of EU data regulations and as part of the
International Bottom Trawl survey. Additional aims include collection of
benthic, water temperature and salinity and litter data.
Survey took place between 10/02/1984 and 26/02/1984 on Cirolana
Equipment used during this survey :
- Frame Trawl ISAAC-KIDD 2.5m bars standard IYFS spec.
- Otter Trawl GOV Long Wing 36/47 Standard IYFS Spec.
Survey operations were undertaken on 135 stations
52 different species were caught on this survey
