Survey : CIRO 2/81 (part of North Sea Groundfish Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: IBTS1E))
Description
This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the North Sea Groundfish
Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: IBTS1E);
Station, catch, length (all species) and biological data (selected species)
for each of the annual surveys covering the North Sea using research vessels
and GOV trawls in support of EU data regulations and as part of the
International Bottom Trawl survey. Additional aims include collection of
benthic, water temperature and salinity and litter data.
Survey took place between 28/01/1981 and 13/02/1981 on Cirolana
Equipment used during this survey :
- Bottle Casts Nansen bottles Reversing surface and bottom
- Frame Trawl ISAAC-KIDD 2.5m bars standard IYFS spec.
- Otter Trawl GOV Long Wing 36/47 Standard IYFS Spec.
Survey operations were undertaken on 118 stations
45 different species were caught on this survey
