Description
This dataset is a merge of SFSP and SSO Contacts data and Meal Count data for the purposes of visualizations on the Summer Meals Data Overview page . Please refer to the original datasets for the most detailed and updated information.
In March 2020, USDA began allowing flexibility in nutrition assistance program policies to support continued meal access during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). This included providing School Nutrition Program sponsors the option to provide meals through Seamless Summer Option (SSO) or Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) during the school year.
