Description
Caper chickens are indicator species for the quality of a habitat because they have close habitat binding and are extremely sensitive to disturbances. Disturbances caused by tourist uses can lead to deterioration of habitat quality or even loss of habitat. The result can be a fragmentation of habitats and associated islandisation, which can quickly extinguish the isolated stocks. The measurement of stress hormones (or their degradation products) from a slogan makes it possible for a short time to detect the direct loading of the overheads. These stress hormones are activated in the short term (acute) if necessary and result in a general increase in responsiveness, heartbeat rate and body temperature.
