Stockton on Tees Borough Council Local Wildlife Sites
Description
Local Geological Sites are usually selected by voluntary geo-conservation groups. Local Wildlife Sites are usually selected by the relevant Wildlife Trust(TVWT), along with representatives of the local authority and other local wildlife conservation groups. Local authorities provide data on local biodiversity direct to Defra, so we can assess the proportion of sites under positive conservation management.
