Statistics - Charter between users, residents and authorities

Description

The charter between users, residents and authorities concerning the practice of schooling and continuous training of general aviation at Findel airport was signed on 15 January 2008 and its main purpose is the management of noise emissions and nuisances in the direct vicinity of Findel airport in connection with the training of general aviation pilots without calling into question the interest and legitimacy of those activities. The objectives are as follows: - Reduce noise at source; - Specify the touch-and-go circuits and the waiting circuits, mentioning their entire configurations and markings on the ground aimed at overflying as many uninhabited areas as possible; - Reducing the level of noise pollution for the benefit of people living near the airport in a balanced manner; - Establish and make available to pilots instructions to respect trajectories and reduce flight noise; - Establish a mechanism for monitoring commitments. General aviation has been practised in the Grand Duchy for a century. It is a mode of transport, business activity, community life and leisure. Aviation practice is subject to pilot training. One of the measures enshrined in the Charter concerns the quarterly publication of general aviation movements at Luxembourg airport (measure 8 – statistics) and in particular: - total movements; - number of "touch and go" movements on track 06; - number of "touch and go" movements on track 24. The Charter has been signed by the following bodies: Union des Pilotes d'Aviation du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg (UPL), Fédération Aéronautique Luxembourgeoise (FAL), Avialux asbl, Aviasport II asbl, Aérosport asbl, Kee Kaméidi vu Sportfliger iwwer Sandweiler asbl, Syndicat d'Initiative et d'Interêts Locaux de la Commune de Sandweiler asbl, Syndicat d'Interêts Locaux de Schrassig asbl, Syndicat d'Interêts Locaux Hamm-Pulvermühle asbl, Syndicat d'Initiative et d'Interêts Locaux Fetschenhof-Cents asbl, the Director of the Airport, the Director of Civil Aviation and the Minister of Transport.
