Description
The map of Pastos de Navarra is compiled on a scale of 1:25,000, computerized and with related graphical and alphanumeric databases (GIS environment). Its basic objectives are to carry out the Catalogue of Grasses of Navarre; inventory and typify vegetation types; determine the forage value of each type of vegetation and map at 1:25,000 scale the different vegetation units, establishing their spatial organization and evaluating their extent, as well as the forage potential of the resources. The Grass Catalogue will be provisional, although increasing with time and the mapped area, until the cartography of the entire area of Navarre is completed. In short, it is a question of determining the capacity of each type of pasture to feed livestock according to their ecological and forage peculiarities.
