Cultural heritage assets of Spain
Description
The data includes all the immovable property considered to be of Cultural Interest throughout Spain, whether monuments, historic gardens, historic complexes, historic sites or archaeological areas, currently recorded in the General Register of Assets of Cultural Interest (RGBIC), created on the basis of article 12 of Law 16/1985, of 25 June 1985, on Spanish Historical Heritage (LPHE 16/1985). The RGBIC gathers information officially communicated by the competent bodies (CC. The RGBIC collects information officially communicated by the competent bodies (Autonomous Communities and the State in the case of assets owned by them and assigned to public service), on which its degree of updating therefore depends.
The data informs on the official code of inscription of each property in the RGBIC register, its current name, the state of processing (only those initiated or declared are included, excluding de-registered properties), the date of resolutions and bulletins of these procedures, and the category of the property (Monument, Historic Garden, Historic Site, Historic Site and Archaeological Area).
