Description
DESCRIPTION: Reservoir is the accumulation of water produced by an obstruction in the bed of a river or stream that partially or totally closes its channel. Obstruction of the channel can occur due to natural causes such as, for example, the collapse of a slope in a narrow stretch of the river or stream, the accumulation of ice sheets or constructions made by beavers, and by works built by man for this purpose, such as dams.
