Description
DESCRIPTION: The Corine Land Cover (CLC) is a project that aims to create a database on the coverage and use of the territory from satellite images. The project is part of the CORINE (Coordination of Information of the Environment) programme, which was launched on 27 June 1985 by a decision of the Council of Ministers of the European Union (EC/338/85) and became the responsibility of the European Environment Agency (EEA) in 1995. METHODOLOGY: Location of the different types of occupation/use of the land through the cartography carried out for this purpose. These continuous land use classes have been synthesized through 7 large land use domains, where each domain is composed of one or more categories established by CLC 2006 at level 3 of detail.
