Description

Web Map Service containing the annual section series corresponding to the Electoral Census (CE) and Municipal Register of Inhabitants (PA). The sectioning of the Population and Housing Census 2001 and 2011 (CPV) is added on the official date of its collection, November 1. The elements of each series are two: only Districts and, within them, Sections. The territorial delimitation of the Censal Sections establishes the scope of this statistical unit inferior to the municipality that is the basis of most of the statistical operations of the National Statistical System: censuses, registers, surveys and other statistical operations. Every municipality is divided into one or more Censal Sections and there is no part of the municipality that does not belong to a Censal Section. The sections of a municipality are grouped into one or more Censal Districts and every Section belongs to a Censal District. The series starts from 2007, on January 1 for each year, also including census dates, such as 1 November for the years 2001 and 2011. Minimum Visibility Scale: 1:1,000,000 for District and 1:250,000 for Censal Section.. Access or connection to this service to obtain the functionalities for which it is intended is free provided that the authorship of the INE as owner of the service and its content (which can be stored for private use) is mentioned as follows: “Sectation ceded by the National Institute of Statistics”
