Levantine Rock Painting Corpus (CPRL)
Description
Levantine Rock Painting Corpus, integrated into the Archaeology Spatial Data Infrastructure (IDEARQ).
Documentary set of photographs taken between 1969 and 1974 in various Levantine rock art stations. It is part of the heritage of the CSIC. The creation of this archive was carried out under the direction of archaeologist Martín Almagro Basch and the execution of the photographs was carried out by Fernando Gil Carlés. In the 90s, under the direction of researcher Juan M. Vicent García, it was digitized and published online (http://www.prehistoria.ceh.csic.es/AAR/). CPRL information has been adapted to and is accessible through IDEARQ.
The documentary information of the CPRL is georeferenced through the rock art stations it registers. These stations are part of the base layer of archaeological sites served by IDEARQ.
