View tiled service (WMTS) of solar potential in Spain
Description
Tessellation display service (WMTS) representing solar radiation and average solar radiation calculated for building roofs. This information is extracted from the vectorization of the results obtained after the processing of the Digital Surface Model, with 2 m mesh pitch (MDS02), through the application of different calculation algorithms, mainly r.sun. For the calculation, the building data of the Directorate General of the Cadastre, data from the Government of Navarra/Nafarroako Gobernua and data from the Basque Government/Eusko Jaurlaritza were used.
For MDS02, data from the National Geographic Institute obtained from LiDAR data and solar radiation data from the European Commission (PVGIS). The information is structured in four layers according to the spindle in which the Digital Surface Models from which the data are obtained are located (slots 28, 29, 30 and 31). Tissued visualization service according to the OGC profile of Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) 1.0.0.
