WMTS Service of Planimetry of Spain (1870-1950)

Description

WMTS visualization service of the handwritten maps of Spanish municipalities made between 1870 and 1950 in Spain, which are kept in the IGN Topographic Archive. These are the works prior to the creation of the National Topographic Map, in some cases several decades after the publication of the first edition of the MTN of the area. They contain planimetric information such as: communication routes, hydrography, populations, crop areas of more than 10 ha, municipal boundary line and boundary stones that mark the boundary line described in the demarcation records. They are made at a scale of 1:25,000, with a precision of obtaining the data corresponding to a scale of 1:50,000. Through the GetFeatureInfo operation (which shows information about a point) you can access the IGN Planimetries, Altimetries and Conjuncts available in the CNIG download center. The Tessellation Visualization Service conforms to the Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) OGC Profile 1.0.0. First, tiles are generated in PNG format in the WGS84 Web Mercator Coordinate Reference System (EPSG:3857).
