Nature and human activity on the same physical environment appear as two inseparable forces that give rise to specific territorial structures. Section VIII of the National Atlas of Spain (ANE) analyzes the following elements. The Spanish economy, addressing macroeconomic indicators, employment, business, and public finances. The landscape, exploring the relationship between the human community and the physical environment, showing traces of the past and current effects. The environment, addressing its transformation by human activity, highlighting protected natural heritage, human influence on nature, and environmental risks. Territorial Articulation, examining territorial organization and policies to maintain or recover balances between different territorial and social areas, promoting a comprehensive, participatory, and sustainable approach.
