Population, human settlements and society. Section IV of the National Atlas of Spain

Description

The three fundamental questions about the population in Spain that Section IV of the National Atlas of Spain (ANE) tries to answer are: how many people make up the population, where they are settled, and what they are like. Therefore, the topics of demography, human settlements, and society are addressed. Demography studies the dynamics and distribution of the population, migration, and the structure by age and sex. Human settlements analyze the diversity of settlements, the formation of metropolitan areas, and the importance of housing and urban planning. Society focuses on productive capacity, income and poverty, gender violence, and sociological characteristics, in addition to providing an overview of electoral sociology.
