Annual Average Daily Intensity of traffic by sections. Autonomous highway network of the Valencian Community (2009-2023)

Description

Historical data set on traffic density in the autonomous network of the Valencian Community. Each layer includes the final calculation of the Average Daily Intensities of all road sections of the regional network, as well as the percentage corresponding to heavy vehicle traffic, generated for a specific year, with data collection beginning in 2009. until today (2023). The IMD is defined as the total number of vehicles that pass through a cross section of the road during a year divided by the number of days in the year, the result being the traffic corresponding to one day, which is the average of all the days in the year. Said Information is represented by numerical ranges. Each record contains a reference to the road section identifier, information on the measurement points, the type of measurement, and the indicators related to the Average Daily Intensity (ADI) and the percentage corresponding to heavy vehicle traffic. These data come from the capacity plan that is developed annually at the Generalitat Valenciana Mobility Services Management Center (CEGESEM), and is the basic cartography used in the intensity maps
