Maps of the Natural Parks of the Comunitat Valenciana
Description
The thematic mapping of the Natural Parks of the Valencian Community was produced by the Valencian Cartographic Institute in collaboration with the Wildlife Service and the Natura 2000 Network of the Regional Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure and Territory. The front of the map contains the actual mapping, generated from the cartographic database generated by ICV, which displays thematic information on routes, heritage sites, and other points of interest for visitors. The back of the map contains all kinds of literal and graphic information about the park: access map, contact information and location of the park office, detailed descriptions of the routes (including a QR code for downloading their GPS), information on the park's habitats, flora, and fauna, a 3D model of the park, and numerous images of the most interesting aspects of our community's natural parks.
The maps have been created in GeoPDF format with layered information and associated georeferencing in the ETRS89 geodetic reference system and UTM cartographic projection in time zone 30.
The collection consists of 22 maps, one for each declared natural park in the Valencian Community. The scale of the maps varies from 1:5,000 for some parks to 1:40,000. There is no single edition date for the entire series. Each map has its own production and revision date. (See edition date on the respective covers.)
