Fishing. IHF and QBR environmental quality indicators of the trout rivers of the Valencian Community

Description

Environmental quality assesment of trout rivers in the Valencian Community through the IHF and QBR quality indices. As for habitat assessment, the fluvial habitat index (IHF) is used. It is a rapid evaluation index, which assesses the heterogeneity and potentiality of the habitat from 0 to 100, based on the fact that the greater the diversity of the habitat, the greater the biological richness. For the evaluation of the structure of the riparian forest, the Quality Index of the Riparian Forest (QBR) is used. It is an index that allows to quantify the environmental quality of the forest, synthesizing the information of different characteristics and attributes of the same. This is how the presence or absence of riparian forest is determined, as well as the state of conservation and composition of the riparian forest
