WMS Special Protection Areas for Birds (ZEPA)
Description
Delimitation provided by Biodiversity Service of the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning. The special protection areas for birds are classified by the Member States of the European Union as natural areas of particular relevance for the conservation of avifauna threatened with extinction, in accordance with the provisions of Community Directive 79/409/EEC and subsequently amended according to BOC No 226 of 21 November 2006.
The service also incorporates the marine SPAs declared in the BOE Order AAA/1260/2014, of July 9, 2014. Integrated into the Marine Protected Areas Network in BOE January 21, 2016, Resolution 20 November 2015.
