WMS Hydrological Plans 2nd Cycle (Apr. Final)
Description
Hydrological Plans of the 2nd cycle, covering the years 2015-2021, of the Gran Canaria Hydrographic Demarcations (ES120), Fuerteventura (ES122), Lanzarote (ES123), Tenerife (ES124), La Palma (ES125), La Gomera (ES126) and El Hierro (ES127), definitively approved. The hydrological plans show the new methodological approach derived from the Water Framework Directive. The general objectives in the management of information are no longer only insular, but are very anchored to the environmental obligations that hold us all accountable, the management of the public water domain or the balance of supply and demand of water or infrastructure have become a part of the specific objectives, all supported on the good condition of the different bodies of water. This information, which has been provided by the Directorate-General for Territorial Planning, Ecological Transition and Waters, has been coordinated by this Directorate with the work of the Insular Water Councils and the Island Councils.
