WMS Irrigation Infrastructure of the Canary Islands
Description
Information, prepared by the Directorate-General for Agriculture covering public and private infrastructures that have been financed in whole or in part by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water in recent years. The service does not show all the existing irrigation infrastructure, since a good part of it is private, executed by other administrations or was executed in past decades. However, in order to give territorial coherence to the published information, the layers will be supplemented with the general infrastructures associated with the irrigation that is being collected.
The service consists of several layers, such as pipelines, rafts and tertiary, among others, having the possibility to see their basic information biting in each of the elements, which will vary depending on the layer. Among the information shown, in the field “type” it is clarified whether the element is new (execution) or an action or improvement on the already existing element. In order to increase the territorial coherence of the information, the pre-existing elements have also been reflected, which are not subject to action, have a direct link with the implemented or improved infrastructure, appearing in this case in the type field as “pre-existing”.
Likewise, the elements that have been the subject of several public interventions show in their associated information the information of each of them.
Periodically the service will be updated incorporating the new infrastructure financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Waters and in addition the errors that are detected in the published information will be corrected.
