WMS Corine Land Cover (year 2018)
Description
WMS from Corine Land Cover. It is a land occupation map at 1:100,000 scale, useful for territorial analysis and management. The map is created within the CORINE Programme (Coordination of INformation of the Environment), a project for the collection, coordination and homogenisation of information on the state of the environment and natural resources in the European Community. Within this programme, the CORINE Land Cover (CLC) project was created — since 1995 the responsibility of the European Environment Agency. As main features it has:
Minimum Mapping Unit (MMU): 25 ha, in the case of changes in land use: 5 ha.
Minimum Mapping Width (MMW) of 100 meter linear elements.
Hierarchical classification of 3 levels with 44 classes of land cover and uses.
UTM representation cartographic system.
Photointerpretation on Sentinel 2 satellite images, Landsat-8.
Reference Scale: 1:100.000.
The Directorate-General of the National Geographical Institute, together with the National Geographical Information Centre, has coordinated the different versions/bases of the project in Spain, taking place in a decentralised manner in the different autonomous communities.
