WMS Aquaculture of the Canary Islands
Description
The information returned by the service has been prepared by the Directorate-General for Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands. This zoning was approved with the publication in the BOC of Decree 102/2018, of July 9, which definitively approves the Regional Plan for the Management of Aquaculture of the Canary Islands (PROAC). In it you can see how the public maritime land domain has been zoned according to the aptitude for the development of aquaculture activity following a series of criteria. The areas of interest (ZI) are those with greater suitability, suitable zones (ZA) have a lower aptitude and prohibited zones (ZPs) are those that lack the aptitude for the development of aquaculture.
Likewise, the layer of the aquaculture concessions in force in the Canary Islands has been published, which gives certain information of interest such as, their name, the cultivated species, the authorised tonnes or the code assigned to it in the PROAC.
In both layers of information there is the option of being able to access all the documentary information of the PROAC through a link that redirects to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Waters.
