Assessment of Agroecological Resources at 1:10.000 scale (in pilot areas)
Description
The information contained shows the agroecological evaluation of certain territorial units in the Principality of Asturias in two distinct areas. On the one hand, in areas of vegas and valleys reperentative of some of the areas of greatest agricultural interest in Asturias, and on the other hand, an area of mainly forest use, characteristic of the Asturian West. In short, the objective of this information is to define the suitability that a given territory, considered as a model or “pilot zone”, possesses for the implementation of various agricultural uses, both forestry and agricultural. It is intended to establish which of the uses evaluated are the most suitable in a given territory (in this case, pilot zones) according to the characteristics of the existing natural soils, their climatic conditions and their geomorphological conditions, and thus establish an objective basis for the development of sustainable agricultural uses.
