Description
Way of Saint James of the Principality of Asturias. Scale 1:5,000. 2015. ETRS89. (Government of the Principality of Asturias).
Its delimitation is defined in Decree 63/2006 of June 22, which fixes and delimits the Historical set of the Camino de Santiago in the Princiapdo de Asturias, with a protection band of 30 meters on each margin (in rustic land) and the adjoining cadastral plot in rural core or outside rustic land.
It has also been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and includes the Camino de Santiago de la Costa, Primitivo, del Salvador and its connections.
Its cartographic delimitation starts from a historical memory that collects the patrimonial values associated with this pergrinaje road, the layout of the primitive roads and their equivalence with the current roads, which sometimes may not coincide expressly. After approval of their layout, they are vectorized and included in a Geographic Information System.
