Mapping of Natural Hazards in the Principality of Asturias
Description
The original source of the geographical information contained in this Data Set is the work entitled "Natural Risks in the Principality of Asturias", commissioned by the Government of the Principality of Asturias in 2001 and prepared by the Institute of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning of the University of Oviedo (INDUROT) on a scale of 1:200,000. The main objective of this dataset is to provide an overall picture of the SUSCEPTIBILITY of the regional territory in the face of certain potentially hazardous natural processes. Combining this information of susceptibility with the elemenos threatened at all times, it is possible to obtain an indication of the RISK.
