Description
Digital cartography, at 1:25.000 scale, with the distribution of apple tree plantations in the Principality of Asturias. It is an inventory materialised through a solid database that can be used as an updated tool, allowing to analyse in detail data on the surface distribution of apple tree plantations for different geographical, physical, administrative and management areas.
Digital mapping, at scale 1: 5,000, with the distribution of greenhouses and nurseries in the Principality of Asturias.
This mapping is the result of the treatment of various cartographic sources and the interaction of the data they provide with the results of the photointerpretative process. Subsequently, the corresponding quality and verification checks have been carried out.
Sources of information used: Land Occupation Information System of Spain (SIOSE), Geographic Information System of Agricultural Plots (SIGPAC), Orthophoto SigPAC 2003, images PNOA (National Plan of Air Orthophotography) 2006/2007, images SPOT5 2009, aerial photo from 2009 and relations of farms registered by nursery.
