Description
Map of the margins of the livestock roads as they pass through the province of Valladolid.
This cartography, which has a partial and incomplete coating of the provincial livestock network of Valladolid, will be updated and expanded.
The livestock routes are the routes or itineraries through which the livestock transit runs or has traditionally been running.
Likewise, they have for all purposes the consideration of livestock roads, resthouses, troughs, majadas and any other type of land or installation attached to those, that serve the transhumante cattle and the shepherds who lead it.
Although it was the transfer of cattle that gave rise to the livestock roads, today transhumance and transterminance are residual activities, icon of times not so distant in time, and yet so different.
