Description

Web service for the visualization of maps, in accordance with the WMS-OGC standard, which includes the theme of transport networks (item 7, Annex I of the INSPIRE Directive: TN - Transport Networks). The specification of the theme of Transport Networks has been organised around four sub-themes: roads, railways, water transport and air transport, including connections between them. This is intended to create a generic framework that allows topographic representation, the construction of topologically consistent networks, connectivity with the rest of INSPIRE topics and the possibility of associating other types of information with these data (for example, the speed limit). The specification includes some requirements for the data: networks must be interconnected across borders and between modes of transport, some topographical features must be correctly collected and support the link with information on transport flows, enabling data to provide navigation services.
